BIO

Antonio Rosario is a 21 year old songwriter, musician, performer, writer, and audio engineer. He has been performing music since the age of five, has over ten years of songwriting experience, and has a Bachelors in Audio Engineering and Recording Arts from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

As a songwriter, Antonio has collaborated with a variety of artists in Chicago, Valparaiso, and Bloomington. He currently writes for a number of projects, including Sloth Boys, Ces’pua, and his own band, Mindfully Blind. In high school, he wrote and performed in the groups BreakTheAtmosphere, Bristol Empire, and AfroKatz. Antonio has been writing songs since the seventh grade and in the past year alone has written, recorded, produced, and released over twenty original songs across multiple projects.

As a musician, Antonio is a skilled multi-instrumentalist, having recorded as a vocalist, pianist, bassist, guitarist, drummer, and percussionist. He has played piano for over fifteen years, sang in choirs for the same amount of time, and performed in jazz bands as a pianist, vocalist, bassist, and drummer in high school. Antonio has also performed percussion in concert bands in middle and high school and professionally with Valparaiso’s Summer Rhapsody Orchestra in the summer of both 2017 and 2018. Currently, Antonio works as a recording musician for the Jacobs School of Music House Band program, and performs in Bloomington with his band, Mindfully Blind.

As a writer, Antonio has worked on films, TV shows, and comics. He has been involved in collaborative writers’ workshops for over two years, and is currently hard at work on his debut novel, Sir Grant the Expert Swordsman.

As an audio engineer, Antonio has over 600 hours of experience in live sound recording, including show choirs, concert choirs, symphony-orchestras, musicals, ballets, jazz bands, rock bands, and concertos for graduate and doctoral recitals. He has experience in post-production for films, collaborating with Indiana University’s film students in their “Double Exposure” program. He has over 200 hours of in-studio recording experience as both a head engineer and assistant engineer, recording a multitude of bands including The Stratospheres, Off Season, and The Matriarch. Currently, Antonio works as a freelance audio consultant and StAAR Engineer for Indiana University, which entails recording portfolio pieces for Indiana University’s Performance Majors.
